October 26, 2011 -- Save the date! This year's Kaya Challenge, will begin Friday, November 4th and end Monday, November 28th. Thanksgiving is a natural time of gratitude as well as generosity, abundance and blessing. The Kaya Challenge provides an opportunity for increased generosity and gratitude.

Soccer Tournament Champions

September 18, 2011 -- The residents of the Independent Living program, along with Carla, the acting Coordinator of Family and Community Services, and Normar, the accountant, were invited to praticipate in a soccer tournament for street children sponsored by another similar agency. They were invited as educators to demonstrate success and were able to interact with many other organizations that work with the street children population.

Take the Kaya Challenge

The Kaya Challenge is a new initiative that will run for 31 Days during the month of October to raise critical support for children in Bolivia as well as build awareness about Kaya and the issues of street children.

The basic premise of the challenge is to spend the month reaching out to your personal networks to share the good work Kaya does. We're looking to you to help us raise funds and friends.

The Kaya Challenge is really simple and only takes a few minutes to get started.

A Silver Lining in the Clouds

YardSaleAfter weeks of planning and days of hoping for blue skies and warm sun, Saturday, May 8 was a day of clouds and rain for the Boston area.  This, however, did not stop Kaya supporters, Inger-Marie Pu, Regina Wiryaman, Hilary Laing and their children, Anne-Milda Pu, Anthony Wiryaman, Serena Laing, and Penelope Vandermeer, from forging ahead with their plans to raise funds for the organization through a yard sale.  Donations in excellent quality of every kind came in throughout the weeks before the big day

Run the Boston Marathon for Kaya Children

October 14, 2009 -- Kaya has a number in the 2010 Boston Marathon being held on Monday, April 19. We are looking for someone to raise funds for us by running on our behalf and will be accepting applications from potential runners who can meet certain requirements. The deadline for submitting an application is November 16, 2009. All applicants will be notified of our decision by December 16, 2009.

Local school runs fundraiser for Kaya at Burlington, MA Barnes and Noble

May 20, 2009 -- Students at Lexington Christian Academy (LCA) in Massachusetts have organized a book fundraiser at the Barnes and Noble in Burlington, MA that will benefit Kaya's children in Bolivia. On Friday, June 5th and Saturday, June 6th supporters of Kaya Children can purchase books at LCA's wish list table. These books will be added to the library at Kaya's school for street-invovled children in La Paz, Bolivia.

Chairman to present at Boston University Medical School

April 22, 2009 -- Kaya founder and Chairman of the Board, Dr. Chi Huang, will give a presentation to leaders and donors of the Boston University Medical School on Thurs, April 30th at the BU College of Management. He will discuss his intial time as a medical student in Bolivia, the development of what would become Kaya Children International and what Kaya is currently doing to help street-involved children today.
