Local school runs fundraiser for Kaya at Burlington, MA Barnes and Noble
May 20, 2009 -- Students at Lexington Christian Academy (LCA) in Massachusetts have organized a book fundraiser at the Barnes and Noble in Burlington, MA that will benefit Kaya's children in Bolivia. On Friday, June 5th and Saturday, June 6th supporters of Kaya Children can purchase books at LCA's wish list table. These books will be added to the library at Kaya's school for street-invovled children in La Paz, Bolivia. Supporters who plan to purchase books for themselves that weekend can also have proceeds from the sale benefit LCA by clicking here to download a voucher to be presented at the register.
In addition to the book fair, Kaya founder Dr. Chi Huang will be speaking at 7:00pm on Friday, June 5th about his experiences working with street children in Bolivia. Many of his stories are featured in his book When Invisible Children Sing, which will be available for purchase and autograph during the event.
