Dramatic finish at soccer match

July 30, 2009 -- After a long day at school and the Kaya center, the boys at Kaya Children were able to unwind with one of their regular games of soccer against another school team, organized by a social worker in the Bolivian office. The boys were excited to play and looked professional in their new uniforms. They exhibited fantastic teamwork, making spectacular passes and rotating people in so everyone had a chance to play. Those who were not playing stood on the sidelines cheering on their fellow teammates. Although the score was not too promising at the end of the first half, the boys made a sudden comeback and won 6 – 5 in the last minute of the game. The games are a great way for the boys to highlight each of their individual talents, demonstrate the cohesiveness of their team, and meet other aspiring soccer stars in the community.
